I've been very good up till the last two weeks and continued my application a week. I've even had 5 job interviews with ever improving feedback, but no elusive job offer. The last 2 weeks I've been slack, primarily because breaking up with your partner of 2.5 years isn't good for your mental wellbeing.
We had a bit of a rough patch, we started walking parallel paths and when a little discussion became a big one it all went Pete Tong. Quite sad really. We didn't talk about stuff in the same way when it came down to it and we didn't learn to interprete things correctly to compensate. Anyway technically I left then a week later when we had a discussion about was it saveable he said no he was happier being single. Now we jsut have the can we can't we make it to be proper friends. My worst case scenario is we can't. I thought it would be fine but we had a little spat today so it's going to take longer than I hoped.
To put my woes into perspective today I discovered a good friend has Hodkins Lymphoma. Thankfully the prognosis for that is a lot better than for a lot of other cancers so here's hoping she responds as well to the chemo as someone else I know has done and as the lady who I met last week who got the 5 year all clear a few days before that.
Other good news today I got an interview invitation, had a nice chat with the MP for the area I want to move to and the quote the roofer gave me for fixing my porch is about £300 less than I feared.
