Iola's Idiocy

so it took a month (checking the last entry) but it would appear that I am now not as single as I was last week. I was most determined that it wasn't going to be a good idea too wasn't I? The lady doth protest etc. Given my attempts to drive the boy away by my conversation on the last couple of dates and his almost painful shyness about making any moves it's quite impressive that we made it from opposite ends of the settee to reach each other, but we finally managed it. This summer may well turn out to be an awful lot more fun than last summer. Kind of a compensation for the trauma of changing the clocks.
When I was a teenager I thought things would be less tricksy by this age.
